Project decription
Construction of a concrete overflow dam in the style of Ogee (Ogee-shaped Concrete Spillway) 15 meters high, blocking the Mae Ngao River in Sop Khong Sub-district, Omkoi District, Chiang Mai Province and Mae Song Subdistrict Tha Song Yang District, Tak Province to generate electricity for use with a maximum design water storage volume of 130,000 cubic meters and divert water through the draw pipe to the power plant to generate electricity with a water turbine and generator. It has an installed power generation capacity of 2,100 kilowatts, producing 5.93 million units of electricity per year.
